Coronavirus information and related cancellations

We are aware that with the developing situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19) many of our clients have questions on travel in general and what it means for you and your group.

As more information is coming out every day, that can make this a confusing time to travel. We’ll continue to monitor the situation and share updates as we have them.

In the meantime, here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions:

What is the Surf Office cancellation policy:

In regular circumstances, our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Cancellation more than 90 days before the retreat: 50% of paid funds
  • 30-89 days: 25% refund of paid funds
  • Less than 30 days before the retreat: No refund

Does the regular cancellation policy apply to my groups’ reservation?

As of now, this policy continues to apply to cancellations of all Surf Office reservations.

In the case of COVID travel restrictions (official government bans on getting in and out of the country) during the dates of the event, 100% of the money paid can be used as credit for a future event at the same venue found in the Booking Confirmation through December 2023.

Here are some conditions that apply:

  • The Retreat has to happen until 31. 12. 2023. The paid amount is not transferable beyond 31. 12. 2023
  • You can use up to the total of the agreed amount, however, no refunds will be done, in case the total amount for the new Retreat dates is lower
  • The new dates will be subject to availability/rates for the given period. We will do our best to offer you the same locations/conditions of your previous Retreat – if this is not possible we’ll offer you an alternative, similar location, and accommodation
