Centered on Haeundae, Gwangan Bridge, and Busan’s coastline, this 4-day retreat agenda is built for an all-hands with focused sessions, a standout shared experience on the water, and time to explore the city.
For teams that want a more relaxed alternative to Seoul with access to the sea, Busan offers a strong balance. A corporate retreat in Busan blends beach views, fresh seafood culture, and a slower pace that still supports structured work sessions.
Most international teams fly into Gimhae International Airport (PUS), located about 20–30 minutes from central Busan by taxi or light rail. Another option is arriving via Seoul and taking the KTX high-speed train, which reaches Busan in around 2.5 hours.
Late spring from May to June and early autumn in September to October tend to offer the most comfortable conditions, with temperatures around 18–28°C. Summer is popular for beach activities but comes with humidity and peak tourism.
Haeundae is the most popular area for teams thanks to its beachfront hotels and modern feel, Seomyeon works well for a central and practical base, and Gwangalli offers a more laid-back atmosphere with views of Gwangan Bridge.
Teams can organize beach games at Haeundae, yacht or sailing trips along the coast, cooking classes focused on Korean seafood dishes, cultural visits to Gamcheon Culture Village, and group hikes in Taejongdae or Igidae coastal trails.
The city is well structured for mixing both. Many hotels and venues are located near the coast, allowing teams to move quickly between meetings and outdoor activities without long transfers.
A 3 to 4 day retreat is a common setup. This gives enough time to include work sessions, coastal activities, and some exploration without overloading the schedule.
Busan is known for its seafood. Teams often visit Jagalchi Fish Market, organize group dinners with grilled fish or Korean BBQ, and explore local specialties like milmyeon noodles or fresh sashimi-style dishes.
Costs are generally lower than in Seoul, especially for accommodation and dining. This makes Busan an attractive option for teams looking to manage budgets without compromising on experience.
For teams prioritizing connection over intensity, Busan offers a natural setting. In our experience, the coastal environment encourages more informal interaction, which works well for team bonding and offsite dynamics.
We got incredibly positive feedback. Many people said it was the best offsite we've ever had. So that's obviously the most important thing from like an organizational point of view. It was super nice working with you guys. I really enjoyed it. It was the first year we had an agency like you guys on board and it did really help, especially now having a much bigger team.
We did send a survey to everyone after the event. And the feedback was very positive. Everyone loved the hotel. People were saying that the food at the venue was very good, which I agree with. The rooms were great. The meeting space was perfect for us. Obviously the beach and the area were perfect. I think it was a great location for our team. There were some people that said this was the best summit they’ve attended.
The feedback has been impeccable. Everybody loved the hotel, loved the staff, loved the support from Surf Office, everything. All the expectations were, you know, not even just met, but went beyond. We loved the way we were taken care of.

We walked into it anxious. We walked away from it absolutely amazed by the results. It was so well organized. I would never have been able to do that alone, you pulled that off entirely. It was amazing. The team is buzzing! It blew people away. It definitely blew us away.
I was stressed out before the retreat cause I never did the planning. As soon as we arrived to the hotel, they knew everything and I didn’t have to worry about anything. Big thumbs up to the Surf Office team for the general flexibility, and for the communication.
It was absolutely perfect. There wasn’t one thing that I can criticize. We had a fantastic time, really really good. It went so smoothly, everybody was very happy.
