Most groups arrive via Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN), which is located about 20–30 minutes from District 1, depending on traffic. It’s the busiest airport in Vietnam, with direct connections across Asia and increasing long-haul routes.
December to April tends to be the most reliable window, with temperatures around 25–33°C and less rain. The wet season runs from May to November, usually with short afternoon downpours rather than full-day disruption.
District 1 is the most common base for first-time teams due to proximity to offices, restaurants, and nightlife. District 3 offers a slightly quieter and more local feel, while Thao Dien (District 2) works well for a more modern, expat-style environment.
Teams often organize street food tours by scooter, Vietnamese cooking classes, historical tours (like the War Remnants Museum), and day trips to the Mekong Delta, which is about 1.5 to 2 hours away.
A 3 day structure is typically enough for the city itself, but many teams extend to 4 days if they include a Mekong Delta trip or additional activities outside the center.
Ho Chi Minh City feels more modern and business-oriented, while Hanoi leans more traditional and atmospheric. Teams that prioritize speed, convenience, and infrastructure often prefer Ho Chi Minh City, while those looking for cultural depth may lean toward Hanoi.

Traffic is the main factor to plan around, especially during peak hours. Keeping meetings, accommodation, and activities within the same district helps avoid long transfers and keeps the agenda running on time.

Romane LeBrec-Foulatier was a fantastic partner in planning this event. She did a wonderful job of introducing the planning project via Coda and then was extremely helpful and conscientious in helping us plan toward the event. I always felt that I could depend on her follow-up and she was clear and articulate in her guidance. She was also proactive in flagging items that needed extra consideration or in raising potential issues with the schedule or venue or planning. We really loved the Coda site that she created to for planning and also the Coda dashboard that we shared with the team; the team found it very helpful as well. Lastly, Romane was critical in helping on our last day in France when the taxi drivers were on strike - she very quickly implemented a contingency plan and helped us communicate it to the team through the Coda site. Similarly. Álvaro Pérez-Segnini was very helpful in helping us choose the Chantilly location. He understood the parameters of the offsite and got back to us with multiple proposals in a limited time frame. He helped us understand which option would be the best for us and he helped us negotiate the best space and the best price.
