The Enigma team had two main focuses for their week in Ericeira, productivity and boosting company morale.
Their first goal was achieved through in-person meetings and brainstorming sessions where staff were provided with a space to collaborate, step outside their comfort zones and allow for new ideas to flourish. The team’s selected venue held workspace for more than 40 people, however they found that it was the informal workspaces, created from converted apartments, that worked best in offering unconventional spaces to come together, get work done and enjoy the Ericeira sunshine.
And their goal of boosting company morale? That was achieved through team-building activities like a group surf lesson and informal hangouts where everyone was able to get together and explore Ericeira’s local culture and cuisine.
The result was a week of productive work, plenty of fresh ideas and a renewed confidence in Enigma’s company culture as a remote-first organization.
