When Veed, a fast-growing online video editing platform, wanted to reward its team, we knew a Surf Office retreat would be perfect for them.
They needed an experience as vibrant and engaging as their platform. This retreat delivered just that in sunny Mallorca, with a beachside experience filled with energy, laughter, and plenty of memorable moments.
Day 1:
From the moment the Veed team touched down, Mallorca became their sandy haven for team building.
We made sure every detail flowed as sweetly as the Spanish waters surrounding them, starting with a flash mob to kick off their arrival. Food trucks were ready to deliver the local tastes of Mallorca, giving everyone a chance to mingle and recharge from the journey, before diving into the real magic.
Throughout their stay, Veed’s team enjoyed a mix of fun and (perfectly organised) relaxation. Mornings began peacefully, with sunrise yoga on the beach, setting a mindful tone for the day.
Activities were a mix of sports and R&R, with tennis matches and sessions of pure relaxation, like sound baths and Pilates.
Day 2:
The second day opened on a calming note, with sunrise yoga on the beach. Each member could get the most out of the morning with breathing and stretching exercises on Spain’s sunny coast.
Others opted to get a little more energetic with Pilates or connect with the soothing resonance of a sound bath. Whatever the option, the morning started on the right foot.
Later, the day shifted gears into a sandy competition of a beach volleyball tournament.
Thirteen team members brought their A-game along with their beach towels to the volleyball showdown, where determination could flourish in a friendly yet competitive environment. Cheers and laughter echoed across white sands, making the tournament stand out as one of the biggest highlights of the retreat.
Evenings took the energy even higher. Themed parties with "Livin' La VEEDa Loca" and "Party at Tiffany’s" kept the night playful, but with a touch of sophistication.
A live band and DJ kept the atmosphere lively, and every attendee danced well into the night.
Behind each memorable moment was the organisational skill of our Surf Office retreat planner, Jolanda.
No detail was left to chance, with venue preparations, AV setups, activity coordination, and fine dining experiences taken care of. Veed could let their staff take in the full magic of Mallorca, without a single disruption.
Alongside the more fun sessions, Veed made space for some very strategic work sessions.
They had great hands-on meetings in the hotel’s splendid venues. By spending time in more work-intensive sessions, the team connected more deeply than ever before.
Their brainstorming sessions yielded new and refreshing results that had them completely reenergized and united before getting ready to head back to the usual work environments.
Day 3: Departure
As the retreat drew to a close and the star-filled night skies started to brighten once more, the team started to say their goodbyes.
