Our company brought together a team of 19 people for an offsite in Panama, and the experience exceeded expectations on every level. Intending to deepen team cohesion, create space for strategic work, and recharge creatively, we turned to Surf Office to help organize and manage the trip.

When Zenlytic, the Intelligent Analytics platform, planned their retreat, we knew that we could organise an experience they’d never forget.
Over 3 days, a balance was struck between company teambuilding and a memorable adventure. Surf Office made it happen in sunny Panama City, where the backdrop of palm trees and ocean views brought everyone a little closer together.
Day 1: Ziplining canopies after a warm touchdown
After arriving in the world-famous Panama City, the Zenlytic team gathered their bearings at the hotel and adjusted to the local time zone. Then, day 1 could really get into gear.
After some productive team meetings, Zenlytic’s team got out of the meeting rooms and into the sky — literally. Picture a zipline adventure over the vibrant cityscape of Panama, creating the opportunity for team bonding while your heart is racing. Laughter (and a couple of funny screams) echoed through the air as each member encouraged another to take a leap of faith and soar over the rooftops.
Back at the hotel, the team enjoyed a warm welcome dinner together, reflecting on a day filled with high-flying moments and camaraderie. Our Surf Office planner Valentina handled every aspect with care, from the thrilling city zipline experience to the cozy, onsite dinner that capped off the evening perfectly.
Day 2: Canal exploration with sophisticated cocktails
On the second day, the team of 19 took a guided tour of the gem that is the Panama Canal. They got to learn about the engineering features and the fascinating history of one of Panama’s monuments, setting an inspiring stage. The canal tour was more than just for seeing sights; it kick-started some truly insightful conversations about the power of teamwork.
The second night ended with the group splitting into three: one enjoying cocktails and dinner at La Pulpería, a beautiful dining spot in the heart of Panama City; another at Casablanca; and the third at CascoMar, both offering equally fine dining experiences. Cheers to that!
Day 3: Focused meetings and a farewell dinner
The Zenlytic team’s final day was a great opportunity for focused work meetings. The setup was breakout sessions and all-hands meetings, and the collaborative environment worked like a charm. The team solidified plans for the year ahead, leaving every member a little bit closer to each of their colleagues, aligned and motivated.
As daylight dimmed, it was time to celebrate the retreat’s success. The whole squad headed to the lively Lazotea, a rooftop spot with stunning views of Panama City, for a farewell dinner. They shared highlights of their time in the city and reminisced about the retreat’s finest moments. The group was left to fully unwind and reflect on their adventure, as well as the deeper bonds they’d formed.
