This port town on Costa Rica’s Gulf of Nicoya has an aquarium and rescue center with crocodiles, seahorses, and turtles. You can find shops and cafes at the town beach, Playa Puntarenas or if you prefer a strong surf you can visit Playas De Doña Ana, which is southeast of town.
Located in the western part of the country, and covering most of Costa Rica’s Pacific Ocean coast makes Puntarenas Province a great location for a work retreat.
Here you can visit Tortuga Island, Natuwa Wildlife Sanctuary, Reserva Curu, or the Catedral de Puntarenas. You could also take a Thai Cooking class, go to Muellero Park, or try San Lucas Island.
