Yes, the Algarve is one of the strongest options in Portugal for teams that want sun, beaches, and easy outdoor activities without giving up comfort. It stands out for remote teams that want a more relaxed company retreat in Algarve, with quick access to towns like Faro, Lagos, Albufeira, and Portimão, plus well-developed hospitality across the region.
Most international teams fly into Faro Airport, then continue by private transfer or rental car depending on where they are staying. Travel times vary by base, but Faro is the main gateway for the region and works well whether your offsite is planned around eastern Algarve, central beach towns, or the western coast near Lagos.
May to June and September to October usually give the best balance for an Algarve corporate retreat. You get warm weather, swimmable beaches, and better conditions for boat trips and outdoor team building, without the full intensity of peak summer.

In our experience, teams get more from the Algarve when they leave room for the destination itself instead of filling every hour.

The Algarve is not one compact city, so airport transfer time, restaurant access, and activity locations can vary a lot between Faro, Lagos, Albufeira, and Portimão. Summer is also busier, so restaurants, group activities, and boats are better booked early.

Romane LeBrec-Foulatier was a fantastic partner in planning this event. She did a wonderful job of introducing the planning project via Coda and then was extremely helpful and conscientious in helping us plan toward the event. I always felt that I could depend on her follow-up and she was clear and articulate in her guidance. She was also proactive in flagging items that needed extra consideration or in raising potential issues with the schedule or venue or planning. We really loved the Coda site that she created to for planning and also the Coda dashboard that we shared with the team; the team found it very helpful as well. Lastly, Romane was critical in helping on our last day in France when the taxi drivers were on strike - she very quickly implemented a contingency plan and helped us communicate it to the team through the Coda site. Similarly. Álvaro Pérez-Segnini was very helpful in helping us choose the Chantilly location. He understood the parameters of the offsite and got back to us with multiple proposals in a limited time frame. He helped us understand which option would be the best for us and he helped us negotiate the best space and the best price.
