Let your team experience an unforgettable 3-hour sailing regatta. There are multiple boats available, each sailing yacht will carry a team of six sailors. Every yacht crew has a sailing coach in the form of a US Coast Guard Licensed Skipper. At the end of the coaching, the teams take part in a friendly and fun mock sailboat race.
The Ropes Course is located at the Chaminade Conference Center in Santa Cruz. You will work together under the redwoods in the beautiful natural environment. Think strategically, set goals, and execute them under pressure. The team-building experience contains both low and high elements. The guides work with you to modulate the event based on your team goals and comfort with heights.
If you want to experience a fun team building activity for the whole team, whale watching is a great choice. Your team boards large fully equipped boats that take 49-117 passengers. Our activity partner provides marine biologists on all trips. You will have ample time to see marine animals: whales, dolphins, porpoises, sea otters, seals, sea birds, and sea lions. Explore the famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, the Santa Cruz Wharf and experience the surf stoke at Steamer Lane. You can choose the calm protected waters of Santa Cruz Harbour, or the Monterey Bay for open ocean exploration if you want more adventure.
Sea kayaking is an activity for teams that want to discover the wonders of the enchanting Monterey Bay. There are two tour options: Monterey Bay Wildlife Tour or the two-hour Sunset Tour. Kayak is the best way to examine our nation’s largest national marine sanctuary. Enjoy the Santa Cruz coastline as you paddle through kelp beds with otters, sea lions, seals, dolphins and possibly whales.
Roll up your sleeves and visit the Santa Cruz original Tie-Dye learning center. Its origins date back to 1987. Tie-dyeing is a way of coloring fabric by soaking it in a solution, which adheres the dye to the fabric. Tie-Dye workshop is a creative group activity where you can choose between a vast collection of unique colors. Learn the process by yourself and bring your artistic piece home after the retreat.
Take part in the drumming workshop for an unconventional team experience. Depending on the goal, the workshop can take from 30 minutes to three hours. It’s designed for 5 to 500 participants. The leader makes it easy and fun for everyone to join in, there is no need to have any prior musical experience. The workshop integrates your group’s themes with the principles of communicating and collaborating.
