It rains very rarely in Madrid as it’s the driest capital city in Europe, but even when it does, you can be sure to find plenty of indoor activities like escape rooms for your team to enjoy.
We work with our network of partners to provide you the best local and authentic experience. You can book these activities only as part of Madrid retreat package.
In addition to its wonderful weather, fantastic food, and delicious wine, there’s another big reason why people love to visit Madrid – the art. During this experience, your guide will share fascinating stories of the finest Spanish artists and their works as well as provide your team with a bit of history on Madrid’s bustling art scene.
You’ll start your adventure with famous museums and small galleries in an area known as Madrid’s Art Triangle. The Museo del Prado, the Reina Sofía and the Thyssen-Bornemisza are the three vertices that make up this infamous spot located right on the Paseo del Prado. If your team has any art or history buffs, this is definitely an experience you won’t want to miss during your visit to Madrid.
Looking for a fun way to explore the city of Madrid while bonding with your team? Why not take part in a treasure hunt (sometimes called a scavenger hunt). You will meet with an instructor at the start of the activity who will walk your group through each of the tasks. The minimum number of participants is 9 and your group will be divided into smaller groups (4-5 players each) so that the competition can begin.
This team-building activity takes place in the old town of Madrid and combines history, local legends and stories. If you’re looking to develop teamwork, time-management, orientation and attention to detail this is the perfect team-building activity for your group!
Interested in history but don’t want to walk? Explore the city together with your team on e-bikes. All the attractions are just a pedal away as you join an experienced guide on a 2-hour sightseeing tour at a safe and unhurried pace.
You’ll see the most emblematic spots in Madrid like the Plaza de Oriente and San Miguel Market, as well as learn about the city’s rich history and local stories. Would you prefer to visit an ancient Egyptian temple in the middle of the city, or Madrid Río, the park that has changed the life of the city in the last ten years? Luckily, you can visit both of these places and more on your e-Bike tour!
For this activity you will visit Antón Martín market to buy the groceries you’ll need to cook your very own paella. For those who don’t already know, paella is one of the most recognized and authentic Spanish culinary dishes, based on rice, seafood, and chicken.
While you work together to prepare your meal, your chef will share handy tips with your group as well as the story of paella including its origins and place in Spanish culture. The recipes are prepared in pairs, all lessons are in English and no cooking experience is required. While cutting the vegetables and preparing your dish you’ll experience team-building magic as you get to know your colleague from a fresh perspective, as a cooking partner.
Are you and your colleagues foodies? Then pick a creative tapas, food and wine tour! A tapa is an appetizer (or snack) and translates to English as ‘a small portion of Spanish cuisine’. Madrid is a wonderful spot to experience this Spanish culinary tradition as places throughout the city take gastronomy to new heights without losing its down-to-earth essence, something like a cross between a tapas bar and a Michelin restaurant.
For this activity, we will meet in the evening for approximately 2.5 hours. Trust us when we say, these places are so good that they are even popular among locals and famous clientele alike including Spanish Royalty, the First Lady, actors like Harrison Ford and many more!
Looking for the perfect team building activity for wine-lovers? This blind tasting approach is routine for sommeliers when judging the quality of wine during competitions. Train your taste buds to identify the flavors and aromas without being influenced by the label. The sommelier will explain the tasting to you and your group including how to approach the wine and what clues to follow. After this activity, you’ll be able to better describe their attributes and you might even discover some true sommelier talent in your work team!
Escape rooms give your team the chance to test your problem-solving skills, concentration, and observation abilities, all while having a ton of fun. We’ve selected some of the best escape rooms in the center of Madrid – and you can even choose between various themes to really make your experience special. For instance, you can choose ‘The War of the Currents’ escape room which depicts the Edison vs. Tesla rivalry or perhaps you’d rather try the horror escape room ‘Exorcism in the Vatican’? Choose the puzzle that suits your team and work towards solving the mystery alongside your workmates.
(You can book these activities exclusively as a part of our retreat package)
